For over 30 years, James Klein has been involved in the creative industry. He has worked for both design firms and advertising agencies in Orange County and northern California prior to launching his own firm in the summer of 1993. As a designer, he worked for the Memorex Corporation where he was a member of the design team that redesigned the packaging for the company's video and audio tape products. As an art director and creative director, James has worked on a wide variety of accountsfrom restaurants and real estate, to temporary service firms. Some of his more recognizable work include "Shooby Dooby Down to Ruby's" for the Ruby's Restaurant Group, and the television commercials created for Remedy Temporary Services which featured Susan Ruttan of "L.A. Law." For the past 20 years, James has headed his design studio currently located in Irvine where he has focused on developing corporate branding and marketing communications materials for companies such as OCTA, Parker Aerospace, Shea Properties, LBA Realty, Plaza Bank, Metro Gold Line and UC Irvine. The company's work has won a number of design awards and has been featured in Print Magazine. Most recent awards include the Magnum Opus 2004 Gold Award for publication management for the online team member handbook for Parker Aerospace, and several first place Adwheel awards at the American Public Transportation Association 2004 convention in Atlanta. James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Design from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and was a faculty member of UC Irvine Extention's design program. |
